The primary reason for choosing an enclosed flare instead of an open flare is because of the increased methane destruction efficiency. While an open flare can be expected to destroy approximately 50% of the methane contained in the biogas, a BKE enclosed biogas flare system can safely and reliably destroy 90% of the methane content. Not only is that better for the environment, it also means a greater payback in CDM carbon credits.

The BFE-50 is our smallest enclosed biogas flare system, and is ideal for any small farm or industrial site that is producing limited amounts of biogas. All critical components that come into contact with biogas are made from high-grade stainless steel to resist the corrosive effects of hydrogen sulfide. Like all BKE products, it is easy to use and engineered to work safely and reliably under almost any conditions for many years to come.
